Ronia Dubbaneh
Ronia Dubbaneh is an Associate Attorney at the Garfield Law Group. Ronia's practice focuses on removal defense, affirmative applications, family-based petitions, employment-based petitions, asylum, adjustment of status, naturalization, motions, and waivers. Ronia brings a unique depth of insight to her clients' cases. Before entering private practice, Ronia served as an Attorney Advisor to immigration judges through the prestigious U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program.
From 2019 to 2025, Ronia worked closely with immigration judges in Los Angeles, supporting them in the decision-making process and drafting hundreds of judicial opinions and written decisions. She was regularly entrusted with some of the most difficult and complex matters before the court. Through her close working relationships with immigration judges, she developed a nuanced understanding of how judges think, analyze cases, apply the law, and exercise discretion. This insight helps her anticipate what matters most in the courtroom and prepare her clients with a level of clarity and strategy that comes from truly understanding the judicial process from the inside.
Ronia approaches every case with thorough preparation and genuine compassion. She helps clients navigate the immigration system with clarity, respect, honesty, and a strong sense of advocacy. She believes in explaining every step clearly, and being a steady source of support during what can be an overwhelming process.
Outside of the office, Ronia enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and extended family; reading; creative writing; baking; traveling; and enjoying good food.
Ronia earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland. Ronia is conversational in Arabic.
